About Sky's the Limit Adventures ATLANTA

WHO ARE WE?
Sky's the Limit Travel and Social Club (STL) is the regions most active and fastest growing social, cultural, travel and outdoor activity club.

Sky's The Limit- the name says it all. From being a cowboy one weekend (horseback riding-n-range shootin) to dancing the night away, from seeing a show in Midtown, Atlanta to seeing one in Midtown, New York. From rooting on the Atlanta Braves to braving the route down the rapids on the Chattooga river. From watching a movie at Screen on the Green to playing a round of golf on the green. How about a hike up Kennesaw Mountain or taking a bike ride on Silver Comet? Is gliding over the tree tops or jumping out of a plane more your style? Maybe you are looking for something fun to do with your kids, pets or significant other? Maybe concerts and art galleries are more your scene? How about trying new restaurants? International travel your bag? No worries, we have whatever you are looking for (and maybe some things you didn't even consider!)

Trying something new can be tough without a supportive group of friends whether starting over in a new city or testing out a new hobby. Everyone's a stranger until you share a few laughs. Why not share some good times with a open-minded, fun-loving crew of people?

Well no more excuses! Sky's The Limit Club will keep your social calendar as full as you want it to be and in time you'll gain more friends then you ever thought possible. Sign up today and start making new friends and seeing new places tomorrow! Sky's The Limit Club "When Life is Too Busy to Plan for Fun"

Hailey has many hobbies including her love of volunteering and love of travel, she has been to 29 countries and 35 states. She likes to stay VERY BUSY, not only with her many projects, events, family and friends, but also with her husband Stason and 4 year old daughter, Bella. She likes to plan tons of parties, volunteer opportunities, off the wall events, large travel events and loves to combine activities to make a well rounded occasion.

Cathy is a native of New Jersey, her passion for travel and exploring new places started at a young age when she spent her summers traveling through Europe visiting her relatives. She has since traveled to 35 countries in 5 continents where she has walked through the African bush, hiked through the Himalayas, straddled the equator, paraglided, completed fire-fighting training, taken herself to an emergency room on a cycle rickshaw, scuba dived, had a private tour of the Hermitage, gotten chased by an angry bull elephant, swum with sharks, lived in a royal fort as a guest of the king and gotten married in a castle. Cathy has worked as an ESL teacher, international tour group leader and event planner. She loves to explore new places, meet new people, try new food, and plan fun events!

Brian is a down to earth, realism sort of guy who never shies away from letting you know exactly what he thinks you need to know. Whether he "read it in a book" or "somewhere online" his cognitive repetoire and dry wit are pretty much unmatched. Brian recently gave up his poker days for a life as a 9 to 5er and hasn't really regretted it. The events he likes to organize tend to be related to the outdoors or towards music. He has a thing for singer songwriters!

John Crow discovered his love for traveling working one summer in Yellowstone National Park his sophomore year out of college. Since then John has been to 39 different countries; led teenagers on outdoor adventure trips in Canada, the U.S. & Europe; he's taught English in Japan; circumnavigated the globe on a ship stopping in 17 different countries in 101 days; climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro & Mt. Fuji; cycled the South Island of New Zealand; and lived in a VW Beetle 24-hours a day for 38-days to win it. He's up for anything and he'll try it at least once? he figures he'll either like it, hate it or it'll kill 'em. Either way, he'll find out if he likes it or he'll be dead. That's how he feels about Sky's the Limit?

Kami is an IT professional who enjoys travel, good food, music, sports, volunteering, and a whole host of other activities. She grew up in Knoxville, TN and moved to Atlanta 10 years ago to attend Oglethorpe University, graduating in 2001 with a BS in Business Administration and Computer Science. Most of her events will center around getting a good laugh, having a great meal, seeing an exciting game, and being active in the community.

Kevin is a true native of Atlanta, born and raised. He works mostly in sales, marketing and logistics. He has a serious itch to travel and never stays in the house. He likes to live his life a mixture of a Quantum Leap and Simpsons episode. In fact, after college, he literally ran away with the Big Apple Circus and worked as a clown until he had his little girl, Alaya in 2004. He is an eclectic hepcat/geek with an strange love of all types of music, movie, art and the outdoors, who distastes doing the same routine activity too often. He tries to mix in some kid friendly activities because, being a parent, he sympathizes with others trying to include their kids in the fun, but sometimes you need a break to cut loose for some adult fun.

Kristy is a degreed IT professional who enjoys volunteering and living life to the fullest. Active in multiple animal rescue groups, she is the proud owner of 3 dogs and 2 cats. In her spare time she enjoys traveling to new places with her husband, engaging in new activities, volunteering, photography, reading, dancing, jumping headfirst into fun adventures, working with various computer technologies, meeting with friends, and enjoying the outdoors. Kristy has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and new experiences which allows her to be quite diverse in topics. After backpacking through Europe many years ago, wanderlust has bitten her (again!) and she looks forward to traveling with Sky's The Limit. She has traveled to places such as India and Argentina (to name a few), and looks forward to exploring new countries. Combining her passions you will often see her events geared toward animals, fundraisers, outdoors, various festivals, and the occasional girlie-girl or geek-fest event.

Stason is an IT Network Manager for a company in Kennesaw. He lives with his wife Hailey and their daughter Bella in East Cobb where they stay very busy! When he's not working or playing with Bella, Hailey is usually dragging him around to all the events. In his spare time (LOL!) he enjoys learning about many varied interests mainly because his attention span is about two weeks. He enjoys researching a hobby more then actually doing one. If anyone wants to know facts about any particular task, email him, as he probably has read about it. A short list of these areas include photography, woodworking, blacksmithing, gardening, metalworking, web hosting, web design, scuba, technical diving, metal casting, cooking, catering, construction, laying tile, etc? He likes to plan events such as comedy clubs, movies, paintball and dinners.

Tino is a transplant from Miami and lives in Buckhead where he an IT professional. Tino is a natural at telling great stories and jokes. Though he can be stubborn, he's is a loyal friend and an all around great guy. Tino is new to the organizer team but plans on revolving most of his events around sport related activities and movies. If you are in the room with Tino and Aileen you will know it, they love to talk and they don't know how to do it quietly, but that is part of why we love them both!

Holly lives in the moment and has a friendly word for everyone. She picks up friendships among friends of friends, fellow travelers, and professional acquaintances; she’s a natural “people person”. Her lifestyle reflects a jump-right-in joie de vivre style. She knows everything about Atlanta and gives great directions. She’ll love your animals, your kids, and your friends. She kicks ass and rides a motorcycle, but is still a girlie-girl with always freshly pedicured toenails. Being an Atlanta native, she supports all home teams no matter what. Her diverse interests include exploring Atlanta – both old and new sites and activities, good food, volunteer opportunities, community involvement, arts and cultural events, and the empowerment of women. She loves concerts, movies, dancing, and yoga. She leads a bible study group through her church, serves as the newsletter editor for her sorority alumnae group, and sits on the executive board for the local chapter of the American Chemical Society. On top of this, Holly is having so much fun with Sky’s the Limit and organizing events for them, she often has to “schedule” a day to do nothing! She loves living downtown with her two cats.

Raquel was born in Florida, but has been in Atlanta since 1997. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Georgia State University, and works as a secondary science teacher. Raquel is an open-minded person that will try anything once. She has served as a special events project coordinator for Hands on Atlanta for the past 7 years, and is very active with the March of Dimes, the American Cancer Society and her Sorority. When she is not molding the minds of our youth, you can find her reading a good book, enjoying a concert, at a sporting event, serving the community, or watching various reality TV shows.

Danielle aka Dee relocated to Atlanta after living in New Jersey most of her life. Yes, she's proud to be a born and bred Jersey girl. After living here for nearly three years and focusing on her career and businesses in real estate and art & graphic design, she found Sky's The Limit meetup and can't get enough of the wonderful people and fantastic events. Danielle is a proud wife & mom of an 11 year old girl, super-hyper boxer and moody silver tabby cat. She absolutely loves animals and enjoys volunteering and helping communities, dancing, bowling, kayaking, skiing, traveling, roller skating, designing gift baskets, googling, event planning, art and reading. While keeping an open mind, Danielle loves to explore new places and meet new people. She enjoys planning a variety of events that range from family-friendly fun to a fun night out on the town.

J. Rochelle, a Tennessee native, loves her career as a CPA where she spends her days crunching numbers and cranking out tax returns. However, when, the work day ends, the real fun begins! No stranger to the social scene, you can often find her hosting groups at local sporting events (Hawks game anyone?), the theater, the museum, restaurants, book club meetings, the symphony, happy hour, or in the great outdoors with her beloved boxer mix Riley. What’s next on the list is anyone’s guess, as J. Rochelle is always looking for something new and exciting to get into.

Michael Anthony is a native of New York that ventured to Atlanta in late 2005 to experience a warmer climate and new scenery. He spends his weekdays running his appraisal company and his appraisal school and his weekends scuba diving, mountain biking, hiking, rollerblading, kayaking and exploring all that Georgia has to offer. He is passionate about volunteering and helping those less fortunate. Michael's first event with Sky's The Limit was a weekend ski trip to NC and he has been hook since.

Kim grew up in Atlanta, but has traveled throughout the United States and the Caribbean. Kim is an artist and photographer and considers herself an avid hiker, kayaker and partier! She has always been the "party planner" among friends and family, and likes to plan events ranging from free outdoor concerts to wine tastings. She loves to make sure everyone is having a great time and worries if they aren't!

Aileen loves to dance, so she makes a great asset as she watches out for fun and upbeat venues. Being Latin and Orginally from Miami, you can bet she is going to add a Latin flair to almost any event! But it won't stop there, you will be sure to see her at any event that includes arts, opera, theater and just plain old fun amusement!

Michelle has strong creative interests in art, film, and writing. She loves to travel and explore off the beaten path where ever she lives. Cooking, watching films, reading, and volunteering are her favorite activities.

Lily Lewis is an outdoorsy nerd that prefers life in the not-so-fast lane. She has lived in Atlanta for over 15 years, is a graduate of Georgia Tech, and can help you discover the 'hidden Atlanta' that is not advertised on billboards. Lily thinks that Atlanta is a 'city of diverse neighborhoods,' and she shares her knowledge with anyone interested in getting to know the communities within the metro area. She will introduce you to mom and pop shops, gluten-free cupcake bakers, and Atlanta's best bacon, as well as the very best places to adopt a pet, see an independent film, and about-to-be-famous vendors at local farmers' markets. Born and raised in the South, Lily can give you insider's tips and tours on many of the surrounding areas as well, from Apalachicola to Chattanooga and beyond.

Michelle G. was born in Oswego, NY and moved to Atlanta in 1999. She works as a massage therapist and contracts with different businesses in the area. She loves being outdoors. If she could be on a beach near the water every day that's where she would be. She enjoys staying active and belongs to a couple hiking groups. She is also a big fan of the NY Yankees and spends a lot of the summer watching baseball. She volunteers as an usher at the Fox and Cobb Energy Center and at any of the non-profit organizations in the area.

Scott was born in South Carolina, but grew up in New Jersey and moved to Tennessee for college, found a love for his native south and vowed to never return north. An engineer by trade and talent, his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology trained him to be adaptable to many situations and to never look at anything in a rigid manner. While in college, Scott organized one of the most successful “Engineer’s Week” events in a decade. Scott’s never ending enjoyment for one of his childhood toys resulted in a side career working for that same well-known international toy company. He’s been seen on Fox 5, assisting on an episode of “Wednesday’s Child”, and he’s known to a lot of young children in Atlanta, as he leads a “builders club” on most Saturday mornings. Scott enjoys doing most anything that involves building and working with hands, as his primary hobbies are woodworking, DIY (do it yourself), and building/designing with plastic bricks. He lives by the motto “you can be a kid at heart, while still behaving like an adult”. Scott likes to find the “cool, unusual, and fun” stuff to do in Atlanta, in addition to past trivia Nerf War events, and is also known for his July 4th fireworks show that he puts on for STL each year.
