Urban Dare Atlanta 2010

Midtown Tavern (map)

Selected By: Dee

If you love the Amazing Race, this is for you! Here's your chance to participate in Atlanta's Urban Dare challenge. With more than six months to the challenge, you'll need to be on point with your Atlanta knowledge.

Getting Ready for Urban Dare
Urban Dare is the race where smarts can beat speed. You will be solving clues to find checkpoints around town. You need to figure out the most efficient order to proceed. We encourage you to call friends for help solving clues, and you may use your hand-held devices at will. You should bring a phone, a digital camera (can be your phone), a map, and a pen to take notes. You will cover about 5 miles and face fun dares along the way. Dares are a combination of mental, physical, or just plain silly challenges.

Start/Finish
Midtown Tavern - 554 Piedmont Ave NE

Because some people just like to dress up!
If you have a team costume, you do not have to wear Urban Dare shirts. We will have prizes for best costume and for best picture. Let the fun begin!

Urban Dare Atlanta COST

Check-in begins at 11:00 a.m. and will continue up to the start of the race at noon.

TWO PERSON TEAM: $45 per person plus processing fee until March 21

Register here

After March 21, the cost will increase to $100 per team and up, so get in before March 21 for the discount!

I wanted to do this year but the registration fee was too high and on pillow fight day. Hopefully not the case in 2010.

Of course, this is the same day as pillow fight day. How long it is? Maybe I can do both.

I went to go register and now the website is showing Oct. 16 as the Atlanta date. Anybody know anything about this? They have San Diego in the April 3rd spot now. Weird.

I saw this as well today. They've pushed the date back to October. Not sure why, but I will be sending out an email to let everyone know.

Im new in ATL, but I know strategies, land navigation and other high speed military tactics. I need a partner, anyone? Let me know. And why are we going to this place tomorrow? Isnt the race in 6 months? Is this just pre-registration, or is the race tomorrow? Someone please let me know so I can get my game on.
