It’s the 4th of July, and time to celebrate our country’s independence STL style with some great food, fun, friends and fireworks!
6/18 UPDATE: NEW THIS YEAR: 3 ABOVE GROUND POOLS TO STAY COOL!!!! REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR SWIM SUITS!!!!!
Brian lives on a small lake and large backyard ideal for parties and cookouts. People who have attended previous year’s celebrations have enjoyed canoeing, paddleboat rides, badminton and just chil'n out on a blanket or beach chair. Like previous parties, the canoes, paddleboats and badminton will be provided by Brian to be used at your own risk. We will have a fireworks show performed by one of our members for your entertainment, so PLEASE DO NOT BRING FIREWORKS!!!! This is an adult friendly event so probably want to keep the kiddies at home with the baby sitter or grandma!!!!
We will be charging $5.50 per person and supplying the meat for the grill. Additionally, please bring a
side dishes or dessert to share: Please note in your RSVP what you plan to bring to share so we have some variety. BYOB. Utensils and condiments (ketchup, mustard, and relish) will be provided.
A number of folding/lawn chairs will be available, but if you got 'em bring 'em.
Please try to park on the grassy area near the pond on Shady Dr. located at the end of Freeman Dr. as parking can become crowded in the neighborhood!!!
The festivities will begin around 5pm and will end whenever. Remember, Monday IS a holiday!!!
Clean-up volunteers will be given free accomodations in the Presidential Suite (otherwise known as Brian’s spare bedroom!!!) and will be appreciated!!!!
Cost $5.50 - Please post "Paid and the date" in your RSVP, the dish you are bringing to share and if you can help with the Monday morning clean-up.
Pools??? Are they big enough for floaty toys? I will also volunteer for cleanup as well, since I really don't want to drive back to Sandy Springs that night.
Mujeres, saquen las tangas. Jajajaja

Great fireworks and a good time. Thx !
Operation Roll & Thunder was absolutely incrediable! Run Scott Run! lol!
Great fireworks show, Scott! Both on the dock and in the air!
I forgot and left my restangular stars and stripes platter. It matches a set of dishes, so I hope someone from clean up has it . Please let me know. Thanks for a fabulous time Brian! Lori
@ Lori - I'm pretty sure I saw your platter in Brian's sink - waiting to be washed.
@ Godzilla - I'll be around at 3:00 am this morning to wake YOU up from your kitty nap to see how you like it :)
I played it safe, went home slept and made it safely to Chigago at 7PM. Great fireworks. But a suggestion for next year. After the fireworks were over (I believe it was then), you turned on the music loud. Maybe it is just my experience, but tuning in a radio station with patriotic songs and blasting it while the fireworks are going on gives it a whole different experience. The fireworks were the bomb.
For those that enjoyed the Fireworks show last year, I've got EVEN MORE, for a Bigger show this year!! How much bigger? You'll have to come and find out!!
