Everyone who has replied as "YES" please leave a comment as to if you are planning on camping Sat. only or both Fri and Sat night. Also...let us know if you are bringing a tent. However, we have to assume that if you are camping you are bringing your own equipment! ha! We just need to know how many tents we will have! Regardless if you are camping one night or both nights it will still be $28! :)
IF you are planning on just coming up on Saturday for the boat activities and the grill out, the cost is $15. You can just give me the money on Saturday when you get there. You have to pay that day so don't forget your money! :) Please reply as a "NO" and put a comment that you will be coming up for the day.
Don't forget to bring a side dish for Sat night's cook out....and of course your choice of beverage for the weekend.
***There is a $5 fee to enter Lake Altoona Park***

OK Guys, one week to go! First I want to welcome the new folks....We look forward to getting to know each other while playing on the water!
We also need to confirm a coupla things....
Who is planning to camp on Friday? and/or Saturday?
Who is planning to bring tents?
We have reserved 3 campsites. However park rules only allow two tents per site. So this means people may need to share sleeping space.
Just post your thoughts and ideas here!
Angie, we are camping at Red Top Mountain State Park. I plan to get there Friday afternoon.
Change of plans (again). I'll be up on Saturday afternoon/evening. Prob. not camping, will update closer to the date.
Planning to stay on Fri and Saturday. I am bringing a large tent, that holds about 8, and willing to share.
Kim & Harris - one small tent, arriving Friday. Sounds like there's a little confusion on location? This is Red Top Mtn. State Park, which is on Lake Allatoona. www.GaStateParks.org/redtop There's a $5 parking fee (not per person). It's good all weekend if you're staying overnight. Don't get a ticket by not having one of these hanging in your car.
Are fury children allowed? My little one needs some swimming time.
For those camping: I am planning to get our campsites by early afternoon. Will post site #'s on this site later today. Will also post gate code.
Step 1: Drive to Red Top Mtn State Park (see link posted by Kim)
Step 2: Check in at 'campsite reservation office' to get parking pass. Small building on left ~ 1 mile past bridge.
Step 3: Drive another .25 miles, campsite entrance on right.
Step 4: Enter gate code and drive to campsite #.
There is signage. Feel free to text: 770.712.3327
For those coming up Saturday only: there is a $5.00 charge per vehicle. Can be paid at campsite reservation office OR at toll booth hut at the entrance to "beach".
There will not be room to park at campsites, so park at boat dock (first left after bridge) and text 770.712.3327. We will come pick you up on boat and take you to the party!!
Dave -- looks like rain today, are we all still camping if it rains?
OK, planning on camping tonight, maybe after 6 before I get there though
Red Top Mtn St Pk is up I-75 at exit 285. Go right (east). Go slow on the curves because there's a sharp one with little warning. Main boat launch area is just after the steel bridge.
Planning to camp tonight if it's not storming. Is there a specific time on Saturday to meet at the ramp (so you're not shuttling so often)? Hmmm . . . does anyone have a big tailgate tent for the campground?
Kim, will have my van. Might have an RV. Tom, can you bring your canopy?
I don't have a lifejacket to bring. Can I borrow one or is there somewhere I can rent one close to the campsite?
Hi guys! My cell number is 678-378-8115. For those of you who are coming up on Sat. Give me a call so we will know that you have arrived. Chances are we'll be on the boat or floating in the middle of the lake!!!! Bring it!
Had a great time, and was was really nice getting to know everybody.

Well I paid for two, but friend backed out, so I have an extra paid spot if anyone is interested.
