If you have never been to Madison Georgia you are missing out! Successfully blending old with new and southern tradition with high-tech, Madison-Morgan County, Georgia, has been bringing tourists, newcomers, and local residents together in a unique, unspoiled atmosphere. Madison's Antebellum homes and Victorian homes, as well as its tastefully restored downtown, offer a wide range of shops, tastes, sights and services that delight visitors from this country and abroad, as they travel along Georgia's Antebellum Trail, the Georgia Antiques Trail and the Historic Heartland travel region.
Tour of Kitchens, Chef Cooking Demonstrations, Wine Tastings, not to be missed!!
Noted for putting on Georgia's largest Holiday Tour of Homes, the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau are back in action with the second Fall Kitchen Tour. The 2010 Kitchen Tour will feature eight distinctive kitchens throughout Madison & Morgan County. Styles of kitchens vary. Last year's Tour included industrial kitchens located within modern lofts, commercial kitchens of bed & breakfasts, new kitchens featuring Viking appliances, and Antebellum homes with kitchens having recently undergone extensive renovations. Like the inaugural Kitchen Tour in 2008, the 2010 Tour will feature in-home guest chef demonstrations throughout both days, as well as wine tastings with wine from your favorite Georgia vineyard - Habersham Winery of the Nacoochee Valley. The Tour takes place on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00. The intinerary stays the same both days. Additionally, we've added "A Chocolate Affair" to this year's mix. Stay tuned for more details!
Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
Another awesome spot to visit in Madison, if there's any time left after the STL event, is the Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum. Check out: http://www.microcarmuseum.com/
