COME JOIN STL ADVENTURES AS WE RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER RESEARCH!!!
We are putting together a team of 24 cyclists (beginners to experts) to cycle for 24-hours... okay, maybe not continuously but with our group:-) all in effort to raise money for cancer research. Don't worry, if you can't cycle you can still volunteer or donate.
STL Adventures wants to raise $10,000 or more to be one of the Top 10 Fundraising Teams for this event. So help us out by signing up to cycle, volunteer or donate.
Go here to donate to our team (via my page): http://www.24hoursofb...
Go here to volunteer: http://www.24hoursofb...
Go here to register to ride: https://secure2.convi... (team password is stlbikers) There is a $50 registration fee to become a cyclist.
Search for STL Adventures, then "join" and then type in the password.
In your RSVP, please indicate if you plan to "cycle," "volunteer," or "donated".
I will be organizing the cyclists. If you volunteer, 24 Hours of Booty will let you know what you need to do. Volunteer shifts last 3-4 hours.
Stone Mountain will be home to the Booty Loop and October 2-3 it will come alive as the home of 24 Hours of Booty. 24 Hours of Booty Atlanta will celebrate its inaugural event and host 650 + riders who will raise more than $350,000 for cancer research and surviorship.
The Booty Loop in Atlanta will approximately be a 1.5 - 3 mile loop. At the center of it all is Bootyville, our own little city which also serves as the event headquarters over the 24 hours.
Riders set up campsites and canopies that they can sleep, or more importantly, rest and relax with friends off of the bike. The food tent is probably the most popular place outside of the course itself. Along with the three squares riders will recieve they will have access to snacks, energy bars, water and sports drinks.
Bootyville also is the site of our expo area where our corporate sponsors set up shop and offer a range of services including 24 hour bike support, raffles for special items and information about their services.
Because of of the Booty Loop's Stone Mountain location and Atlanta's strong support of events, you will find family and friends out supporting the riders at all hours.
Along with our national beneficiary, The Lance Armstrong Foundation, 24 Hours of Booty supports the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. You can find more information about our beneficiaries in the Learn More section. The organizations are having a tremendous impact on our neighbors battling cancer, and we are proud to be able to support their efforts.
We hope you will join us in Atlanta. Whether you ride, volunteer, donate or come out to cheer, we hope to see you at 24 Hours of Booty Atlanta!
can volunteer and get other motorcycle riders to help out on the course delivering people and supplies...
Sounds like an awesome event. Let me see if I can get my bike in gear and my booty in shape to ride.
Question: If we donate, can we hang at the campsite and offer moral support as well? Or would we just be in the way?
@Meg - I'll have to let you know as I get more information from the organization but that would be nice.

John, are there any specifications required for the front and rear lights? I have a caving light that I can customize for the bike or wear on my head when it gets dark. i need a blinking red light any way. The best website to puchase bike gear is the following: http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/TopCategory_10053_10052_2003...![]()

John, are going to split the $100 group donation and add the amounts to each rider's total? Thanks
Can't do that Cheryl. It was a credit card deposit. I suggest all of you post on Facebook and post your link to your donation page in your RSVP as I suggested awhile ago.
We are back to 17 out of 20 in Top Fund Raising Teams. Way to go everyone! http://www.24hoursofbooty.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ri...![]()

Lol...no, i've read it bf...it's just that we're running out of time...
We should reach for the stars, but stay within the universe...lol
I am not able to ride this weekend, but would like to sponsor one of you. The first cyclist who sends me a message gets a sponsorship. Good luck and have fun to everyone who is riding this weekend!
John got in touch with me, and I did donate to one of the riders who had not reached $200. Thank you to the folks who emailed!
Don't forget to bring a flashlight/headlamp for the campground, chair to sit in...
Picked up my packet today and ready to ride. I am bringing a lantern, tent, chair and some snacks. Looking forward to meeting those of you I don't know.
I will bring a large cooler if you all want to put drinks or other snacks in it. I suggest if you have a small table bring it as well.
Is this a relay? Does someone from the team have to stay on the track at all times throughout the event?
From what I read it is not a rely but I am going to reconfirm tomorrow at Stone Mountain.
Already have my stuff! Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. I will probably get there lunchish time. I hope it's easy to find everyone!
