OK. Let’s try this again!!!!!
Last month we got rained-out, but this month, we still have an opportunity to see a special event; the sun will set and the full moon will rise within minutes on each other!!!
Sunset: 8:13pm
Full-moon-rise: 8:01pm
Lets hike up to the top of Stone Mtn. to witness these two events!!!!
We will meet in the Confederate Hall parking area on the West side of the park at 6pm and begin hiking at 6:30pm. If you come late, please hike up to the top, and join us. The area is not that big and you will find us once you reach the top. Please bring something to eat, drink and maybe, some munchies to share once we are on top of the mountain. (ADULT BEVS. - AT YOUR OWN RISK- I DO NOT KNOW PARK RULES ON THIS ISSUE OR HOW STRICTLY THEY ARE ENFORCED)
Also, DON’T FORGET A FLASHLIGHT/HEADLIGHT for the hike down……it will be dark!!!!
Parking is $8 per car. So, carpooling would be a good idea!!!
Is anyone attending this who is near Conyers and would like to carpool?
is anyone interested in meeting near or at the Mansell park & ride and carpooling?
Steve, I am coming straight from work in the Marietta/Johnson Ferry area. Could meet you at Perimeter at 5:20 - 5:30? Anyone else, too?
