Sky's the Limit will be volunteering at Project Open Hand Atlanta. We are volunteering from 12pm - 3pm.
This is a great opportunity to give back to our community. We will be volunteering in the kitchen at Project Open Hand helping put together meals that will be delivered to those with special needs and chronic disease here in Atlanta. No culinary skills required!
Our kitchen, which was recently expanded and updated, is the Grand Central of Open Hand. As you would imagine, with over 4,500 meals to prepare, package and deliver every day, the atmosphere is electric. But it's not all work -- the music is always on, and the friendly banter among new friends never ceases. It all makes for a very memorable and rewarding experience.
Packing involves portioning food into individual containers and snack bags on our packing assembly line. This is a great project for individuals and families, and a great team-building exercise for school, business and church groups!

Dress Code and Health Code
In compliance with health code regulations related to safe food handling, the following dress code is strictly enforced:
* Ball cap, scarf (we provide hairnets and aprons)
* No sleeveless shirts or tops
* No open toed shoes such as sandals or flip flops
* Long pants or Bermuda shorts
* No jewelry!
* Personal food and beverages are not allowed in the packaging area
* No cell phones should be used on the food packing line
Out of concern for our critically ill clients, if you have a cold, the flu, or some other contagious illness, please postpone your volunteer visit to a later date.
Open Hand will provide aprons and gloves as needed during your volunteer visit. Supervision is provided for all volunteers.
Please lock valuables up in your trunk. Our facility hosts over 125 volunteers per day and unfortunately, cannot assume responsibility for any lost or stolen personal items.
Parking
Parking is limited. There is a small lot directly in front of our facility, which we reserve for volunteers. If full, please park on the street in a legal spot watching carefully for No Parking signs and fire hydrants to avoid ticketing. Please do not park in adjacent business parking lots. Car-pooling is recommended whenever possible.
IF YOU HAVE RSVP'd AS A 'YES' TWICE, AND BEEN A NO-SHOW-DO NOT BOTHER RSVPing, you will be changed to a NO. We have had way too many no shows. If you really want to come and have been a no show in the past, please message me.

Everyone, I am really trying to make it this morning but I am really sick. It's been a rough 2 hours thus far :( If you don't see me please accept my apology. Have fun and pack lots of meal. Your time serving is definitely not in vain.
I just joined you group and we love to take part in this function. If there happen to be any openings, please let me know.
