Have you ever run a ZOMBIE INFESTED 5K OBSTACLE RACE COURSE???
Well, now's your chance.
We are signing up for the 2pm wave and camping!!! However, we will meet at 1:30 AFTER you pick up your registration packet (bib, chip and wristband)
Go to their site to register (http://runforyourlives.com/locations/atlanta-georgia/registration-atlanta/)
Post in your RSVP, what exactly it is you are doing... i.e. "5K and Camping" or "5K only" or "Spectator Only"...
Here's what they say...
Protect your brain and run for your life. This is one race where your legs giving out are the least of your problems. Run For Your Lives is a first-of-its-kind event, one part 5K, one part obstacle course, one part escaping the clutches of zombies — and all parts awesome.
Runners will navigate a series of 12 obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding zombies. At the end of this adventure race, you get to celebrate survival (or zombie transformation) with live entertainment and music, local celebrities, vendors, food, and of course, beer!
Meg, I think that you have to die first to be a zombie :)

I actually just signed up as a "Stumbler" zombie. My shift is the 11:20 - 1:30 wave. If anyone wants to join me, you can use the team name "Bring out your dead" when you register and they'll assign us all in the same general area :)
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this event... Zombie registration is full. Runner registration is currently $87 and closes on on 2/10. Spectator registration has been increased to $32 and closes 3/2 (no tickets the day of). If you're still interested in signing up, do it soon. I don't want anyone to miss out on some good wholesome zombie fun :)
i'm now going out of town that weekend so my number is up for grabs. send me a message if you or one of your friends wants to go but didn't get to sign up.
Does anyone know if I signed up for the 11am wave, if I could just run any of them? I know that is technically against the rules, but with Warrior Dash I could have even run a few times and nobody would have cared. Everyone I was supposed to run with flaked out at the last minute, so I was going to try to join all of you. :)

So to camp with the group we just tell them we are camping with Dead's the limit? I'll have a tent by myself so I will have room for at least one more person if you don't have a tent. I'm thinking its bigger then that though. I"m borrowing it from someone.
I don't think they designate an area for the group. I believe it's a first come first serve. Some of us will try to get an area but since this is the first year this event is happening and we've never been there, we're not sure what to expect. I will send out my cell and Kristen's cell the day before. We'll try to meetup but there's no guarantee as we don't know how it all works.
Thanks John :) I just finished posting them to some of the other groups as well. I wasn't sure who all actually made it out, but it was a great time.
I ran at 11, so you may very well have tried to eat my face.
LOL, perhaps, we hit the field at 11:30ish...but it was done with love :) We were stationed little past the 1/2 way point. We also were giving flags back to runners that looked like they needed a morale boost (zombies with a heart). As a side note, I actually just got home from the ER and it looks like I did in fact break my ring finger :/
Um, better yet, how does one get a gig as a zombie???
