As of March 1, 2008 STL is a membership club. What this means to everyone? You will have the choice of becoming a paying member or non-paying member. I have listed the pricing for the memberships below as well as the benefits. If you choose not to become a member or just want to try the group out for awhile before deciding, that is fine just please note that a "cover charge" will be added to most paid events after 03/01/2008. There are many discounts and privileges that go along with being a member and some events will open RSVP to club members before non-members.

Why? Our group has grown tremendously in the past 3 years, myself along with my assistant organizers spend hundreds of hours each month researching, setting up and executing events. We are doing between 30-50 events per month. This is to help pay for time spent and all the expenses that the group incurs. This is also to help continue posting the amount of events as well as to help us for our time in order to post larger travel events. We are posting more events then most paying membership groups in Atlanta and our events are unique and well planned out, vs. just throwing things on the calendar that are already going on around Atlanta. We will be having between 3-6 large travel events per year plus 12+ weekend trips per year.

How do I sign up, and how does this work?
Well we will remain on Meetup as well as have our own site off of Meetup.

Payments for Members & Non-Members:
If you choose to register and pay for events through our site, it's very easy just follow the steps on the screen.
For Meetup payments all the prices will be listed on the event for both , Non-Member and Member Prices. When you go to pay for your events if you are a paying member you MUST change the price to the member price after clicking pay with pay pal. And then pay as you regularly would. So for example the event is $20 for Members and $25.00 for Non-Members.

1. Click on Pay organizer with Paypal
2. The second screen will ask what amount you want to pay, if you are a member change the price to $20.00
3. Charge it the same way as you normally would.

What about children? Children of members attending events will be charged the member price for events. There is no non-member pricing for children.

Will there be any different events for Members vs. Non-Members? Yes some events will be only open to members and there will be free party events for members as well.

Guests of paying members: Yes guests must pay the non-membership price, unless specified differently.

Will the group continue on Meetup?
Yes for now the group will stay on Meetup.

Does Meetup allow you to charge?
Yes Meetup allows us to charge a membership fee.

Will I be charged anything for being on Meetup and not attending events as a non-member?
Nope you won't have to pay anything, but seriously our events are so much fun you need to come out anyway!

What is the membership price and benefits?

Can I get incentives for referring people?
Yes, we have what's called Sky Buck Credits-

Credits that can be used towards paying event fees & travel fees.

1. Referral fee for every paying member you refer (New member must name you as the referring party at the time of registration.)
2. Become an assistant organizer or event host/hostess and receive Sky Bucks for each event you organize.
